Homemade Squirt Shield for my 80 Liter Bladder Press
I didn't like the plastic bag squirt shield that came with my 80 liter bladder press, so I made a much more durable squirt shield out of a 32 gallon Brute. It is easier to get on and off, and much easier to clean.
I don't know for sure, but other size Brutes may work with different size bladder presses.

How is the 2009 vintage coming along?
The 2009 vintage is moving along nicely. It was a bit low on sugar, and high on acid, but I adjusted accordingly. The Tram is just beginning to fall clear. The Corot Noir and the Noiret have settled quite nicely, and have a solid layer of lees on the bottom of the carboys. It will be a while before I go to the next stage, of "Pre-Cold Stabilization Rack"... So far, so good!
